Check your personal totem on the app frequently, the more the better! By looking at the totem it will act as a "reality check" that you are awake. When you are sleeping your brain will subconsciously try and look at the totem on your phone. Instead you'll see something that does not look like your totem. This is when you'll be aware that you're in fact dreaming and not awake! Now you are in the act of lucid dreaming!
